■ fun fact

the image on the back of the jacket is the "pale blue dot", captured by the Voyager 1 spacecraft in 1990. from a record distance of about 3.7 billion miles, it shows Earth as a tiny speck suspended in a sunbeam.

at the time, Voyager 1 had been traveling away from Earth for 13 years at a speed of approximately 38,000 miles per hour. this iconic photograph highlights the fragility and insignificance of our planet in the vast expanse of the universe.
